Design
To design you first have to learn to look. To look, see, hear, to understand
what colours say, what combinations of colours, shapes and light express.
Learning to look means taking a step back and approaching things from
a new angle, experimenting andplaying and discovering. When you have gained
insight into how these elements work seperately and in combination then
you can use them to communicate. This is design.
Aim:
To look at structures, colours, shapes
To understand composition
To work in different media: painting, drawing, photography, photocopy,
photshop
To work and play with text
To give students some basics of visual design.
