Inside the web
The second (e)course of the NairoBits (e) Learning Center trains students in internet usage combined with online presentation. Inside the Web consists of 12 lessons in which students learn the basics of internet, do an exchange and create their own site:

Skills
The main focus of this course is on getting students to use the internet as a personal resource, to feel sufficiently knowledegable so that they can work further independantly . Students learn to check the internet connection, surf, search, research a topic of their choice, do an exchange with youths in another country, and make a website about their own organisation.

Make
At the end of the course each student will have made his/her own website using upload templates. The website includes, a personal page, a presentation on their personal research topic and a presenatation about their youth organisation.

Neighbourhood
The assignments ensure that the students continually check the relevance of their created works within their neighbouhood. In this way we hope to empower the students in finding ways computer usage to further their goals in life.

Empowerment
The philosophy of Nairobits and all lessons is to empower people with skills and an increased sense of self-esteem and independence. The future is what you make of it!
